Jan 2011: After a six month assessment of the market and clients' needs, Z-Ben Advisors executes an aggressive expansion in both the product line up and servicing platforms. Newly added offerings starting this year include: 

ZED-Alert: Continued demand for real-time market intelligence led to the launch of this new platform. This service provides our assessments of breaking market developments, available on our home page and updated daily.

Fund Flow Analytics: Expanding off of the successful launch of China Fund Flow Analytics, monthly fund flow source data is made available.

Manager Selection: With the expectation of rising demand for expertise in managing portfolios of A-share equities, and given Z-Ben Advisors years of monitoring the fund industry, the firm launches its manager selection platform.

Corporate Diagnostics: This service was launched to address clients' need for independent and objective evaluations of their China business platforms.

Mar 2010: Having reached maximum capacity, along with the expectation of continued growth in headcount, Z-Ben Advisors relocates to new offices.  

Feb 2010: The firm receives its first formal appointment to support a foreign institution with the divestment from a noncompliantly owned fund management company. The bidding process proved successful, resulting in the client ending the process in full compliance.  

Feb 2010: With increasing opportunities to service Chinese institutions with their international investment needs and a broadening in the QFII program, the QDII Quarterly Review is rebranded as the China Cross Border Report. 

Dec 2009: Client demand for even faster access to market intelligence leads Z-Ben Advisors to reposition the Flash Report and rebrand as the China Alert.

Oct 2009: Having received numerous requests for periodic fund flow data and an analytical assessment of demand drivers, Z-Ben Advisors introduces the monthly China Fund Flow Analytics. 

Oct 2009: The firm receives its first formal appointment to support a foreign institution in a competitive bid to acquire an equity stake in a Chinese fund management company. The client went on to win the bid.  

May 2009: As interest grows in China's offshore investment opportunities, Z-Ben Advisors introduces the QDII Quarterly Review. 

Feb 2009: Z-Ben Advisors introduces the annual China Executive Series consisting of six annual reports covering various topics such as fund manager profitability, benchmarking, marketing and distribution and QFII. 

Feb 2009: The firm receives its first formal appointment to jointly support two clients working through the unexpected ramifications of multiple ownership stakes in Chinese fund management companies.  

Oct 2008: Z-Ben Advisors establishes its corporate diagnostics servicing platform to meet growing client demand for monitoring and advising on their China businesses.  

Sep 2008: The firm expanded its coverage of China's institutional marketplace with the launch of the inaugural Institutional Market Sizing report. The report provides detailed analysis of all relevant market segments including insurance, pensions, corporates and trust companies.

Jun 2008: With the availability of greater publicly disclosed data, Z-Ben Advisors introduces its first annual Manager Profitability report. 

Apr 2008: After years of internal research efforts, Z-Ben Advisors formally initiates coverage of China sovereign wealth funds. 

Nov 2007: The rapid expansion of China's fund management industry leads to increasing demand by clients for more detailed analysis on quarterly results. To meet this demand, Z-Ben Advisors launches the China Fund Management: Quarterly Update.

May 2006: Z-Ben Advisors launches the Flash Report to meet client demand for more timely research and analysis. 

July 2005: Z-Ben Advisors establishes its M&A advisory platform. Demand for assistance in valuing the underlying equity of a fund manager had risen as foreign firms were required to renegotiate the price point before exercising the 16% call option.

Mar 2005: Z-Ben Advisors enters into its first advisory relationship to advise a foreign institution in developing and applying for a greenfield fund management joint venture. 

Dec 2004: Six months of research conducted by Z-Ben Advisors uncovers wider opportunities. Given this, Z-Ben Advisors expands its research coverage and rebrands its flagship product as the China Investment Management: Market Update.

Aug 2004: Z-Ben Advisors introduces its flagship product, the China Fund Management Market Update.
